As a joint artist-in-residence program between BonGah (Karasht, Tehran, Iran) and Va (Isfahan, Iran), Bon­Gah studio hosted Eamonn Harnett during December 2016, and Va during January—February 2017. As part of his program with Va, Eamonn Harnett spent two weeks with Bakhtiari nomads in Masjed Soleyman (Khuzestan, Iran) to follow his projects about nature and rituals and Nomads’ lifestyle in Iran.

Dutch artist Eamonn Harnett (b. 1989) graduated from the Gerrit Rietveld Academie, Amsterdam and recently finished his residency at De­Ateliers, Amsterdam. Eamonn constructs ways of connection with the natural world within a moment of ecological crisis. By researching spiritual believe systems and ritual practices he aims to replenish the natural world with a sacredness that he feels has been lost.
